Fair use rationale for Image:Staedtlerlogo.gif
[edit]Image:Staedtlerlogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:42, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
wooden table photograph
[edit]There's no explanation for the wooden table photograph. If it doesn't clearly relate to the article and no one can come up with a convincing way to integrate it, it should be removed. Zian 01:50, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
Pronunciation
[edit]How do you pronounce it? I always say 'stadler' or 'stad-t-ler' or 'stadeler' or something and it's embarassing Sweetie candykim (talk) 21:38, 7 October 2009 (UTC)
- I always say it as in German: [ˈʃtɛtlʌ]. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Correctrix (talk • contribs) 08:03, 6 September 2016 (UTC)
Name change??
[edit]The article states "In 1937 the name was changed to Mars Pencil and Fountain Pen Factory " Question: the name OF WHAT changed? It cannot be the corporation, as that is not its current name and no reference is made to the name having reverted.
Equally puzzling is the statement "In 1950 leadholders (or mechanical pencils) began to be manufactured, being the first pencils made out of wood." Really? wood had not been used in pencils during the previous 300 years? And mechanical pencils DO use wood? Is "not" missing here??? --SteveO1951 (talk) 10:18, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
Manufacturing in Asia
[edit]The article could benefit from some detail on when Staedtler starting sourcing some of their products from Asia, etc. 99.236.208.169 (talk) 02:04, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
