Picture needed

We need a picture of this guy. Seeing is Believing --Guthrie

i've got a picture, but its copyright status is in limbo. I've got a question about it on the village pump. TastemyHouse Breathe, Breathe in the air 19:38, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

I find it hard to believe there isn't any picture out there about someone as famous as him that can't be used here under fair-use....--TiagoTiago (talk) 13:16, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

WP:LIVING review

We have pretty strict policies now on biographies of living people, because of the obvious legal concerns. Snarky allegations that this fellow is insane are not OK here. --FOo 09:39, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

I'd delete the trivia about his "Very close relations" with his cats then if I were you. --Anonymous

The cats

Cat at this time has one feline (no, the real kind) that was recently adopted from a shelter near where he is living. I think that, at any given point, the most he ever had was two. --Dennisthe2 20:12, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Addendum: said cat (above) is a very friendly and sweet-natured black cat named Lydia - and large enough where for a minute I thought she was a panther cub, and Cat was missing an exotic animals permit. =^_^= --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 22:25, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

On pelt grafts

The question of pelts being grafted to his skin has come up, and in fact this was added to the article recently. While sites like Ananova have stated that he plans on grafting tiger pelts to his skin, Cat states otherwise: not only does he not plan on grafting tiger pelts to his body, he doesn't even own any such pelts. Source is direct conversation; if you don't believe me, ask him. No, I am not him, either - just a good friend. --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 05:04, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Works for me. At this point little is referenced, so it is okay to remove contended material. --Iamunknown 05:19, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Furry

It should be mentioned that he frequents furry conventions, I do not know if he considers himself a furry but he sure does fit the lifestyle description of a furry therian. Junkupshowup (talk) 07:19, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Just to point out, "furry" and "therian" are two different things. If you're suggesting he has formed some sort of subculture-hybridization, please state so. 74.161.5.170 (talk) 16:59, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Slit irises

If he wants to look like a Tiger, why wear slit iris contacts? Has he ever seen a Tiger? they have round irises. Amendezg (talk) 17:20, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Cats can change the shape of their iris. NineNineTwoThreeSix (talk) 07:17, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Notability

Notability guidelines are bunk and will probably be changed soon NineNineTwoThreeSix (talk) 07:17, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

Image request

The page desperately needs an image of this guy. Can anyone find something on Google Image Search that's copyright-free? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.49.67.186 (talk) 17:26, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

Suicide?

The article was edited to say that Cat committed suicide yesterday, however, the sources given for this do not mention suicide in any way (I wasn't able to access the last one to check). Is there any proof this suicide occurred? I came here from WikiFur because a similar edit needs a reference. Kila Onasi(talk) 16:26, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

There are claims of suicide (and that he had a shotgun and it was used), but nothing has yet been confirmed by officials beyond his death. I don't think we can say he died by suicide just yet. GreenReaper (talk) 18:08, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
I have removed text that claimed that the cause of death was suicide. Until a more reliable source reports this with certainty, it should not be include. GorillaWarfare (talk) 21:59, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
As of 15 November 2012 there are numerous sources that state "suicide is suspected". It can thus be written in the Wikipedia article, with citations. — QuicksilverT @ 19:08, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

Date of death uncertain

Sources indicate Avner's body was discovered in his house on Tuesday, 5 November, but death wasn't officially reported until 13 November. That means the precise date of death isn't known, pending a report from the county medical examiner, and depending on the circumstances, the date may never be known with certainty. I'm speculating that the reason his body was found may be because he didn't show up for work for two days and someone went looking for him. He could have died any time from 2 November (Friday) to 4 November (Monday). — QuicksilverT @ 19:08, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

Name?

Dashed shame about this chap passing on - the world needs more eccentrics. However an awful lot of places are reporting his name as "Daniel Avner" - do we have an absolute source for his actual name? Perhaps either Dennis or Daniel is a middle name and he used both or either at various times? Anyone shine a light chaps? Quintessential British Gentleman (talk) 22:57, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
