Interesting PE curriculum!

POV check wanted

[edit]

Wanted because it seems like this page is heavily biased, and written from the wrong point of view. -- Xerkid (talk) 17:24, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree totally. What a bunch of utter POV twaddle. This is not a Wiki entry it is a Xeroxed curriculum and prospectus. All entries are direct mirror lifts from the pages of the School's own website and therefore in direct contravention of key Wiki policies. I will mark it down for a correct rebuild, that will involve 95% of the current entry being deleted, when I have time to do a proper edit 21stCenturyGreenstuff (talk) 21:47, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed here too, albeit slightly belatedly. I'm going to have a crack at some of it now. --Dancraggs 20:32, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Belated yes and I think you have misinterpreted the POV comments and prospectus references. This is what the article looked like at the time of those POV discussions http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Stanwell_School&oldid=178988524 It was almost a straight lift from the school's website at the time. The article has already been totally rebuilt and improved since then. There are some inline references still missing, but the general framework is now far closer to what is standard for most secondary schools. 21st CENTURY GREENSTUFF 18:21, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite started on 19 April 2008

[edit]

Still in progress, bear with me. The article will develop over coming weeks 21stCenturyGreenstuff (talk) 16:09, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Photographs please

[edit]

Can anyone provide some decent photographs of the school buildings and events? Please upload them to www.geograph.co.uk with a creative commons useage licence so they can be used on wikipedia. 21stCenturyGreenstuff (talk) 22:00, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Calculators?

[edit]

What is the thing with the calculators? Some people who could afford them, started buying them? But they couldn't use them, and then when they could use them, they were economically non-viable? And then the reference has nothing to do with any school, it just shows you the model of calculator... In my school, some people had cars, but others couldn't afford them, and then, when the other people could afford them we couldn't bring them to school... Is there a reason this stuff is on the page? FruitMonkey (talk) 16:28, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A lot of the information is redundant, I'll likely strip the calculator info in a rewrite. --Dancraggs 20:50, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
