Death

[edit]

It would be a good project to locate any published sources that tell more about his death, when in 1941 (though obviously post Operation Barbarossa in June, prior to which there was no international conflict on the Russian front since Russo-Finnish War that ended early 1940) and whose forces he was in. (The Lithuanian armed forces had been dissolved in the Soviet annexation of the Baltic states in 1940, but depending on political conviction Lithuanians served in both the Soviet forces and the German, particularly Waffen SS. Is there a website, for example, listing Lithuanian war dead?Cloptonson (talk) 17:11, 8 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have noticed in Olympedia, he is somewhat conflictingly given as having both killed in action in World War II and died, postwar, at Radviliskis, Lithuania, on 30 July 1960. Which is correct?Cloptonson (talk) 13:55, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
