Notability established

[edit]

I think the six references and three "further reading" in regional and national media, spanning the years 2016–2019, establish notability. The governing criterion appears to be WP:GEOLAND, "Populated places without legal recognition are considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the GNG...given non-trivial coverage in multiple, independent reliable sources." Nine independent, reliable sources, more than meet the criterion. ☆ Bri (talk) 20:23, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I feel like the subject would be better covered alongside the other proposals for the same region under a single article, like Partition and secession in Washington (state) or Eastern Washington secession. There's been so many (Lincoln, Cascadia, Liberty) over decades that are fairly similar in scope. SounderBruce 02:45, 28 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Given that this is likely not to pass like other bills from 1985 onwards, perhaps it would be best to merge into a section on the Eastern Washington page. SounderBruce 07:36, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
