Different types, different usages

The different kinds of SOW or way SOW is used seem to be :

  • Project management - no contract involved
  • A contract (directly)
  • A RFP accompaniment - in a process that later results in bids and eventually a contract
  • A MSA accompaniment - MSA perhaps over more than one SOW
  • A bid response - where the RFP gave SOO or PWS that stated objectives, and bids provide a statement of work
  • A project management (no contract involved)
  • An organization write-up making statements defining itself in direction of effort or structure (rare, deprecated as vague or just obvious things)
