Lead section

[edit]

This article doesn't have a lead (lede), which means that popups from links to it produce an error message. Can someone please correct this. Chris55 (talk) 22:13, 10 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

All cause deaths

[edit]

This section has been tagged as 'possible original research'- I can confirm that there is no original research here. The graph: "Comparison of 2020 (England and Wales) with average death rates and the 2014–15 flu season" uses data taken directly from the source quoted. There was concern to draw a comparison with flu', and after discussion it was established that the data included a 12 month period covering a particularly severe flu season, which is therefore presented here as a separate line. (Actually a pair of lines as the season runs across the year end). To avoid using the same data twice, that season's data has been excluded from data used to calculate the average across other years for which flu was less severe and covid19 was not present. I'd be grateful if someone with less involvement in generating the graph would check and -if in agreement- remove the tag... Yadsalohcin (talk) 15:43, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
