Reason for scant literary output?

[edit]

For someone who was so praised for his first two books of fiction, does anyone know why he hasn't written any more? As far as I know he only wrote two books of fiction and one book of original criticism followed by a collection of various short collected essays. It's been almost 40 years since he wrote the first of his two books. What did he do with the rest of his life? 70.6.69.238 (talk) 13:49, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He has written more. He wrote a third novel, which in strange twist of fate, has only been published in Spanish translation, El Hombre del Toque Magico (The Man With the Magic Touch) in 1995. Since that time he has published an introduction to a French translation of Mark Twain's Autobiography, and a few other essays. Tbbarnard (talk) 00:11, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

István

[edit]

Since he is a native Hungarian, his original / real first name would likely be István. Maikel (talk) 07:35, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Kalosz

[edit]

Quote: born Kalosz, Hungary, 1933

Does this mean his real surname is Kalosz, or that he was born in Kalosz?

I suppose the former, because Kalosz seems to be a common family name, whereas I can't find a community of the name in Hungary. Maikel (talk) 07:41, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

But a Káloz exists: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=kaloz&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=51.310143,77.431641&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=K%C3%A1loz,+Hungary&ll=46.95823,18.489304&spn=0.348681,0.604935&z=11&iwloc=A
