British or Welsh?[edit]

I've noticed the Stereophonics and Kelly Jones articles often being edited back and forth, as to whether the band/person in question is introduced as British or Welsh. Wales (even though not everyone might like it) is officially part of Britain, so both nationalities are correct. What would be the solution to this? We go by what reliable sources say. All sources (apart from Wikipedia and Wikipedia mirrors) say "Welsh band", so that's what it should be to reduce the potential for readers to be a little confused when arriving at the article. SilkTork (talk) 21:20, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Rock or alternative rock?[edit]

Should the lead section read "... are a Welsh alternative rock band..." or "... are a Welsh rock band..."? Ultra Violet Light (talk) 16:28, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Any idea why this redirects here? Should be mentioned somewhere on the page. — LlywelynII 14:56, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It was the first single, but the release itself was not of note. Perhaps it should redirect to the discography? It is mentioned there. Karst (talk) 15:34, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Debut singles are generally worth mentioning in an article on the band. I've now mentioned it with a cite. SilkTork (talk) 21:01, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
