Atheist or not?
Mr. Soderbergh was listed under the category of American atheists but has since been removed. I can't find the history that mentions that particular deletion. Was it due to lack of proof or some other reason?

He is Jewish. You can't just "give up" your Jewish heritage! I am going to amend the Article so it says Jewish-American because it is currently too anti-semitic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.159.111.98 (talk) 07:21, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, he isn't Jewish. All Hallow's Wraith (talk) 02:21, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
- Also, having a Jewish heritage and being an Atheist are not mutually exclusive concepts. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Billsparks (talk • contribs) 04:04, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
Soderbergh might sound jewish, but just like other surnames that end in -man in -berg and -bergh, they are common in certain European countries without implying jewish heritage- Soderbergh is a very common surname in Sweden and not jewish at all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.141.136.214 (talk) 01:13, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
Titled vs. Entitled
Changed the phrase "Soderbergh directed a play entitled Tot-Mom" to "Soderbergh directed a play titled Tot-Mom" because the word "entitled" was being used incorrectly.
Cartoon

Aesthetics
Rhyming slang? Really? Come on guys, this is making the section look like a thrid year English Major's B- paper. There's rhyming slang in those movies because the characters are Londoners who habitually use rhyming slang, ergo, it's REALISM, not thematic material per se. And there are only Londoners in The Limey because it is a fascinating deconstruction/reconstruction of an older film, Poor Cow, starring the same actor at different times of his life. Arguably, the creation of the Londoner character in the Oceans films is an outgrowth of the earlier project, that is, there is no thematic linkage to speak of. This should be, at least reconsidered, and probably deleted, as it is speculative criticism and clearly violates Wiki guidelines, i.e., it is independent research.Theonemacduff (talk) 06:30, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
- The whole aesthetics section should be deleted, it's got nothing to do with aesthetics Verlaine76 (talk) 12:15, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
Agreed. It looks pretty much like original research, in spite of a few citations (the citations typically have nothing to do with the main focus of the section). I will delete next week unless anyone strenuously objects. I note too, that there are "aesthetic" bits scattered throughout the article, presumeably to protect them from deletes, that is to say, they appear to be simply stuck into sections to which their connection is tenuous at best. I will attempt a cleanup of those too. Theonemacduff (talk) 03:25, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
"(...) smaller, less conventional works (...)"
What do you mean by "smaller, less conventional works"? Why list them apart? You mean they took less money and got less revenues? Art pieces are not only remembered because of "consumerism variables", so I do not think it is a good or fair criterion for an encyclopedia, which by definition represents a rather comprehensive, more "neutral" approach. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Quinceps (talk • contribs) 02:24, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
