Source and PR watch

[edit]

The continued promotion of promotion, especially by COI editors, goes against the stated intention of the WP:Five pillars to build an encyclopedia, not a catalog of PR, and should be acknowledged as a direct threat to the encyclopedia's credibility.

All sources which quote or closely paraphrase each other or company press releases, are press releases and should be considered WP:PRIMARY sources, and therefore not independent reliable sources supporting WP:N notability. The sources presented above are, by inspection, not usable to support WP:N notability. I have nothing against the company, only against fabricated "journalism", and anecdotal, non-substantive coverage, when used to support WP:N notability. And I'm an inclusionist.

None of these sources support notability, due to the shallowness and similarity of their coverage, lack of authorship by knowledgeable professionals, and lack of consultation of knowledgeable professionals. In fact, these sources only cover the New York location. These are not all-at-once substantive, reliable, independent, sources supporting existence, importance, and veracity of claims made, by this two-location (not national), purely local, business. --Lexein (talk) 22:49, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
