Explanation of episcopalian

This is very confusing. The link goes to the article about the episcopalian church in the U.S, but the article is about Scotland. Episcopalianism is a branch of Anglicanism, and the Church of England was the established church in England in the 1700s and the Hanoverians were based in England. So why was there discrimination against the Episcopalians in Scotland? Golfcam 01:53, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
