The article tells the story of the recent turbine installed in Strangford Lough, but implies, without making it clear, that the turbine is already supplying electricity. To the best of my knowledge (including looking at the references in the article), the installation in late May was successful, and was to be followed by a 12-week test period, after which the turbine was to start regularly supplying electricity. It's been well over 12 weeks since then. Any information on the current status of the turbine, including beginning of electricity generation or delays thereof, would be a very welcome update!

This is detailed as the first estuary(?) tidal power project, but I see no difference in that description from the Rance estuary scheme which has been operational for 47 years, except that the turbine is not in a barrage-wall.
