Fair use rationale for Image:Damned Strawberries.jpg

[edit]

Image:Damned Strawberries.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

"Life Goes On"/"Come as You Are" Riff similarities

[edit]

'Lo. I recently heard of the brief conflict Killing Joke had with Cobain because "Come as you are" bore similarities to the intro to one of their songs. The similarity was striking, but, as far as I know, "Life Goes On" was before the Killing Joke song. The similarity is even more striking. So, my question is this: should the obvious likeness of "Come as You Are" to this song be noted in the article? (Albert Mond (talk) 15:34, 20 September 2008 (UTC))[reply]

The Killing Joke song is "Eighties", which was released in 1984 and therefore later than "Life Goes On", and the riff is used throughout the song. The main riff is certainly very similar in all three songs.91.107.116.5 (talk) 00:10, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"The Missing Link"

[edit]

For reasons unknown , when Rat Scabies remastered the album , into the "deluxe" version , he retitled tracks , and edited others. ( For example , originally , the song "Gun Fury" was "Gun Fury Riot Forces" , now it's "Gun Fury ( of Riot Forces ) ". ) The track he retitled , and now takes sole credit for writing , "The Missing Link" , is NOT a bonus track. He went in and gave a title to what was , previously , just an unnamed song link - the short harpsichord piece - between two songs. It's not new or an addition.

It should be further noted that , "Rat Vs. The Omni" , was also , previously , an untitled piece , appearing as a b-side , and has been edited. Originally , after the keyboard effects , Rat Scabies chimes in with: "Hello ,Scabies here. You know , at some point in our lives we've all looked at Captain Sensibles' face and thought the same thing. Let's think about it now! < sound of someone throwing up > ". ( This was a direct parody of a Captain Sensible piece , appearing on the b-side of "Happy Talk". ).
