Why not link (or combine) this article with touchstone? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.48.112.97 (talkcontribs).

The article on touchstone is very specific in that it deals with soft metals and their "colored strip" (essentially a streak). Streak is applicable to all minerals soft enough to leave a streak on a streak plate. It is a defining characteristic of a mineral in hand sample, and as a student of geology, I have never heard of touchstone before.--Peter.vandereep 05:41, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
