GENUINE BUT SUPPRESSED?[edit]

SOME of this history is now officially coming to light in POLITICS & PERSUASION AT SLQ Cane Toad Times In two bursts of creative mayhem, from 1977–1979 and again from 1983– 1990, writers, cartoonists and political activists came together to produce the humorous magazine Cane Toad Times. Its obsessions included cane toads, Big Things, Bubbles Bathhouse and exposing Queensland corruption. With protest march posters, original copies of the Cane Toad Times, photographs, t-shirts and artwork by cartoonists including John Shakespeare, Matt Mawson and Judy Dunn, the Cane Toad Times exhibition will stir up the feelings of restlessness and discontent that inspired a generation to create their own weapon to fight for what they believed in. Open daily 10am–5pm, 5 Nov 2011 – 25 Mar 2012 Philip Bacon Heritage Gallery, level 4 | — Preceding unsigned comment added by Robertwhyteus (talkcontribs) 12:08, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The problem of few sources even when they are authoratitive[edit]

The book Challenging the Centre: Two Decades of Political Theatre edited by Steve Capelin http://eprints.qut.edu.au/7893/ http://www.playlab.org.au/catalogue/p_show_item.php?isbn=0908156529&catID=3&orderid=&timestamp= is a major work pulling together many sources and first hand accounts of this history so unfairly is tagged with "single source". High quality compilations sometimes APPEAR to be thin windows, but are in fact extremely broad and comprehensive. Robertwhyteus (talk) 12:13, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WEST Community Theatre[edit]

Is the word "WEST" an acronym or just a word? I am finding references for both, but I have not found an indication for what the acronym stands for, if it is one.76.97.76.83 (talk) 17:27, 7 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
