Do we need Category:Pavement art and Category:Pavement artists? Isn't pavement art a sub-genre of Street art? Biscuittin (talk) 21:13, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Article Needs More Depth

This article was too small to begin with, and has continued to shirk in content. The term ‘street artist’ has at least 4 different meanings (busking, caricatures and on-site painting, selling art or crafts on sidewalks, and the painting of sidewalks and/or buildings). We need to build this article up so that it can more easily encourage navigation to other larger satellite articles involving the 4 different definitions. IMO we should have separate Sections for the 4 definitions that contain summary information and can lead to other satellite article with the 'Main Article' Command (ex: Main Article:Busking). In that way readers who have just heard the term ‘street artist ‘, can more easily be introduced to these various classes of public artistic phenomena. It also might be nice to also have a History section. In its current small size, this piece looks more like a brief definition than an article.James Carroll (talk) 16:47, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
