Story citations

I'm glad to see this article I started take off, but the story section definitely needs some sort of reference material as this is the first time I think I've ever seen something regarding a story for this game. I tossed the unreferenced template into the mix; hopefully someone will have a reliable English source for the story section, at the very least. Crithit5000 04:33, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Since it's been almost a year with no source, I've removed it completely. Also, if certain editors could stop altering the boss names to be wrong, that'd be great. Kit is neither a Kii class battleship [she's a Yamato] nor called by that name on the target screen, and if Psikyo can't spell 'Khabarovsk' it's not our place to correct them. Someone was nice enough to point out on my talk page that the Strikers series story is available on the Japanese Wikipedia and is supposedly condensed in the US release of Strikers 1945 II. I never got around to checking either source (I actually own the game in question, I'm just too busy/lazy to look), but the story summation that was part of this article probably wasn't well written enough to keep around (all I remember was that an ellipsis was used to end the section, and that can't be good at all).

I agree about the boss naming convention issue, and I also would like to voice my concern over the boss section. I'm not sure of the of the importance of the section, but I think at this point it's rather ugly and possibly off-putting to the normal reader (I.E., one that has no clue what a Psikyo shooter is). I'm not adverse to the article mentioning bosses, it's just that the current section is a blah list and doesn't really expand the article. I tossed a cleanup template into it, so hopefully someone can make it better. Worst comes to worse, it gets thrown out. Crithit5000 (talk) 13:03, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

I'd say the most distinctive elements of Strikers 1945 are boss design and historical accuracy [which I doubt it's ever been accused of, but it's true: almost every standard enemy up to Samson [and up to Cross Sinker in 2] is an accurate depiction of a common, secret or anachronistic vehicle] and so it does deserve a section of some sort, but I'd agree the current section is dreadful. Levels and Aircraft

What happened to my description of the eight levels and playable aircraft? The bat shaped Mecha from the Khabarovsk airship level also appears as a boss in the seventh level of Strikers 1945 II. [1]

Names for the game?

Is this the same game as the one titled "1945 I & II" for Playstation 2, judging by screenshots they seem to be the same, but they seem to have left out "Strikers" from the title on the PS2 version (perhaps to connect them to the 1941, 1942 and 1943 arcade games previously released to the PS2)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.89.222.216 (talk) 00:16, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
