Fair use rationale for Image:StudioCanal.png
[edit]Image:StudioCanal.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Category:Lists of films by studio
[edit]Hello. Months ago I had created a Selected Filmography content for the StudioCanal page and since then have expanded the list by adding films the studio had been in involved in. Now I do credit and thank other editors for contributing their additions for this filmography, but I feel the list of films is expanding over the limit. I suggest that there should be a page titled "List of StudioCanal films" to be found in the Category:List of films by studio page. My reason for addressing this suggestion to the talk page is that I lack the knowledge of how to create an article; I am confused and misunderstood of the process due to its complexity and never bothered creating a page. Therefore, in case anyone feels that StudioCanal's filmography is expanding over the required standards, I strongly recommend that a "List of StudioCanal films" page be created.

Doesn't seem like enough information on this page about the studio
[edit]I think it's important to expand this article a little bit, I have seen some very different stuff from StudioCanal and is there much information on StudioCanal before 1999? Lemme Smash plz (talk) 00:39, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
Error to correct: StudioCanal vs StudioCanal UK
[edit]StudioCanal is a French company and not a franco-british company with two headquaters. The headquaters in London are the ones of StudioCanal UK, a branch of StudioCanal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nathan.angelus (talk • contribs) 18:52, 11 November 2018 (UTC)
Selected filmography
[edit]Could somebody please explain how a company formed in 1988 could be involved in all those films from prior to 1988? –Skywatcher68 (talk) 00:46, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
- Never mind, found it myself. Many of those are for DVD/Blu-ray distribution only thus should not be listed. –Skywatcher68 (talk) 00:54, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
