Updating company information

[edit]

I'd like to update information on this page but have a conflict of interest. The article confuses Stuff Ltd the company with Stuff the website throughout. The following information would update Stuff Ltd's key holdings and business operations, as well as summarising the significance of the brand in the New Zealand media landscape.

Stuff Ltd operates New Zealand's biggest news website, [[1]], which has a monthly unique audience of 2 million. It also owns nine daily newspapers, including New Zealand's second and third-highest circulation daily newspapers, The Dominion Post and The Press, and the highest circulation weekly, The Sunday Star-Times. Stuff Ltd owns a number of digital properties. In November 2017 Stuff Ltd took full ownership of hyper-local social media network Neighbourly, having first bought a 22.5 percent stake in December 2014. In May 2018 Stuff Ltd took full ownership of internet service provider Stuff Fibre, which won the People's Choice Award, NZ Broadband Provider of the Year, Best Fibre Broadband Provider, and Best Broadband Innovation at the 2019 Broadband Compare Awards. Stuff Ltd also has a 49 percent share in New Zealand-based energy retailer energyclubnz.

@J9fenwick: I've written a section on management as far back as there were sources readily available. Obviously, this goes back into the days of Fairfax and if this article gets more substantial, we should eventually split off an article for Fairfax New Zealand. Thanks for the above; somebody will no doubt eventually work on the above (maybe me). @MurielMary: would you be interested in this, too? Schwede66 03:27, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion on name of this page

[edit]

Ahead of making a formal move request, can we discuss the most appropriate name for this page here? The company is most commonly known as Stuff Ltd and it seems logical to use this name for this page e.g. internal company reference https://www.stuff.co.nz/about-stuff/100920263/about-stuff MurielMary (talk) 02:00, 29 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
