Disambiguation[edit]

Why is there a "Style" entry for fiction but not for poetry or drama? I propose this entry be changed to "Style (literature)" or even "Style (art and literature)" to serve as an umbrella for a general discussion of style in literature, or possibly in all forms of art (visual arts, music, literature, dance). This would also help us to produce a solid general definition of style, something this entry desperately needs. Josef Horáček (talk) 14:16, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article is just broken. WP:TNT.
This appers to be our literary style article. "Style" per se has nothing to do with fiction vs. non-fiction. But worse than that, instead of trying to start out an enclopedic treatment of "style" based on secondary sources, this page just pretends it is a thesaurus and lists a bunch of related terms. --dab (𒁳) 11:44, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, still just terrible, and hardly about style at all. Johnbod (talk) 23:02, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Just needed to link to literary style, and came to the talk page to make what I see are old complaints. Cynwolfe (talk) 03:06, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well 2 days old in my case, but this is truly dire - the most inadequate WP article I'm aware of. I'm not going to tackle it myself (I have just done up Style (visual arts)) but if the projects are moribund, as I fear they may be, even EB 1911 would be better than this. Merge with Writing style and Writer's voice[edit]

I intend to rewrite Writing style and merge Style (literature) and Writer's voice into Writing style, as the general consensus of these three articles is that they are all poorly written, should be rewritten, and should be merged. If anyone has any objections, please discuss now.—Anita5192 (talk) 18:06, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
