Ranked taxon (Order-level)[edit]

According to this [1] site run by the University of Michigan, this is an order, not an unranked taxon as we now have it on Wiki. This must be changed not only here but on all TaxoBox links to this Article. The Mysterious El Willstro (talk) 20:38, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As it says quite clearly on the template on the top of this page, in the Gastropods Project we are using the taxonomy of Bouchet & Rocroi (2005), the most up-to-date overall system for classifying gastropods and the only one that is based to a large extent on molecular research (DNA and RNA) rather than just morphology. Stylommatophora is treated as a clade by B&R. We cannot piece together different chunks of taxonomy from various sources; we have to stick to one system.
