LIVE databases

[edit]

Someone recently added a very biased part about databases produced by the LIVE lab at the University of Texas, making it appear as if it was the single origin of all standardized databases. The databases section should be expanded to include more examples of laboratories providing such databases. I added another one, but there should be more. – Soulhack (talk) 08:44, 28 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Influence of Culture and Personality on Subjective Quality of Experience

Research published by the ROSE research team, of which I was a member at the time of publication, have demonstrated the implications of culture and personality on subjective quality of experience. This could be noted in the viewers section. Particularly as it explicitly makes reference to representativeness.

I think it's valid to add such concerns, and I understand your perspective as well as the wish to make these findings more public. However, in such a case, it would be preferable to cite others' work as well, putting the results into context. An interesting study with which to compare findings of cultural impact would be, e.g.., Pinson, M. H., Janowski, L., Pepion, R., Huynh-Thu, Q., Schmidmer, C., Corriveau, P., … Ingram, W. (2012). The influence of subjects and environment on audiovisual subjective tests: An international study. IEEE Journal on Selected Topics in Signal Processing, 6(6), 640–651. https://doi.org/10.1109/JSTSP.2012.2215306 — I will get back to that topic and try to add some more aspects in the article. I added those three citations, should hopefully answer this edit request. Slhck (talk) 08:34, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How's things going with progress, @Slhck? I've read the article now and I do not see the information implemented. It's possible that this request isn't exactly specific on how the studies should be included. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 02:35, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I simply forgot, thanks for the reminder. I added a section now, which could of course be expanded citing more research. Slhck (talk) 08:34, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
