Band template box?

[edit]

Does this band really necessitate a template box (Template:Sublime with Rome)? I mean, why not one for the Shortbus and Dub Allstars? Et cetera, et cetera, ad infinitum, ad nauseum. TuckerResearch (talk) 00:09, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Todd Foreman

[edit]

So is Foreman an official member now? I mean he played at all their gigs as far as i know. 173.72.121.185 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 19:54, 9 July 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Yes. I believe that wiki community sould refrain from getting pulled in the legal crap, legal entities and such. Sublime with Rome isn't a cover band, they play Sublime songs with most of the original band and as far as I'm concerned, they are Sublime. Mighty.Yggdrasil (talk) 04:54, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Josh Freese

[edit]

With the announcement of Bud Gaugh leaving the band, there have been some reports/speculation that Josh Freese is replacing him. However, Freese himself has said he's only "playing some gigs" because "they're my friends" and "they need someone for a few shows" [1]. This should not be taken to indicate that he is joining the band as a full member, unless such an announcement is officially made. Keep in mind that Freese is a professional drummer and has played with hundreds of artists, and is the official drummer of The Vandals, A Perfect Circle, and Devo. These commitments alone make it highly unlikely that he would become a permanent fixture in Sublime with Rome, as he juggles his different projects as it is (ie. he didn't play with APC on their most recent tour because he was touring with Devo, and he often doesn't play with The Vandals as he's busy with other things, though he's played on most of the albums). All that's confirmed so far is that he will fill in for a few shows. Time will tell who Gaugh's permanent replacement is, if any. --IllaZilla (talk) 08:59, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Since Josh Freese only said he will be in SWR for some shows, let's wait until we hear news of a permanent replacement for Bud. Alex (talk) 17:37, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lawsuit against Rome (band)

[edit]

Recently, they began a lawsuit against the Luxembourg band Rome. I think we should mention this in the article. https://www.side-line.com/frontman-ska-punk-act-sublime-with-rome-tries-to-ruin-career-neofolk-act-rome/?fbclid=IwAR0MstCiSaOwegrCT7Fd38y6WcEoSlGtmfiGh3MSXUAyV3SK8LBkbaA8L-o
