Ambassador Sue M. Cobb served as the United States Ambassador to Jamaica, Plenipotentiary and Extraordinaire (2001-2005) and is currently Principal of Cobb Partners, LLC and President of the Cobb Family Foundation. Ambassador Cobb previously served as Secretary of State of Florida, CEO of the Florida Lottery, Partner at the Greenberg Traurig Law Firm, multi-year member and three times Chair of the Miami Federal Reserve Bank. She is a Trustee of the Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Council of American Ambassadors, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Association of Diplomatic Studies and Training.

Sue Cobb has been an officer and director of several public, private, and charitable boards, receiving numerous awards including national honors from Iceland and the Order of Jamaica, that nation’s highest honor for a non-citizen. The U.S. Department of State annually awards the ‘Sue M. Cobb Award for Exemplary Diplomatic Service’ to the individual selected in worldwide competition as the most outstanding non-career U.S. ambassador. Ambassador Cobb is married to Ambassador Charles Cobb (ret.), former U.S. Undersecretary of The Department of Commerce and Ambassador to Iceland. Chuck Cobb graduated from Stanford University with a BA and MBA and was a member of the United States Olympic team in the 110-meter high hurdles.

A graduate of Stanford University and the University of Miami School of Law, Sue Cobb is a skilled alpine skier and high altitude climber, who has scaled mountains worldwide and published ‘The Edge of Everest’, a chronicle of her travels across China and Tibet and her climb of Mt.
