World premiere date[edit]

The world premiere is on the official opening date of the show. The previews are not considered for that. Previews are held to insure all is in order before critics are invited. That is normally opening night. The new article in "Town and Country", dated March 18, (https://www.townandcountrymag.com/leisure/arts-and-culture/a39465940/public-theater-suffs-shaina-taub-leigh-silverman-interview/) is subtitled: The new musical, written by Shaina Taub, opens April 6. Also, Playbill (https://playbill.com/production/suffs-off-broadway-public-theater-newman-theater-2022) has April 6 as the opening date. The Public Theatre shows April 6 as Opening Night on its calendar. Let us not get into an edit war over the premiere date, which should be April 6, not March 13. I'll wait for comments pro/con on this before correcting. Old Beeg ..warble·· 05:07, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

(https://www.newyorktheatreguide.com/show/suffs), at the bottom of the page says: "Suffs premieres at The Public Theater on April 6, with previews beginning March 10." The article section was apparently written before the first preview was postponed to March 13. This was shown further down listings under "Suffs Permormance Dates and Times." Well, unfortunately, the new opening date has yet to be announced due to a large amount of positive cases of youknowwhat among the cast. - Jasonbres (talk) 18:47, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
