The result of the move request was: moved. Consensus that the Marvel Comics character is not the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for this name. The topic of how to rename the existing PRIMARYREDIRECT was not raised in the discussion, so I'm making the call to WP:BOLDly move it to Sugar Man (Marvel Comics). So if there was a properly placed hatnote, I'd say that it looks like the default position of short-circuiting to the comics character works well in lower-traffic months as some 75% of readers don't click the hatnote, but when there's more interest people are looking for something else. But then I realized that the hatnote is on top of the list article, while the redirect has pointed to a section throughout this period. So we would need to fix that (done now), and this could well explain why readers weren't finding the hatnote link, because they had to do the unintuitive scroll all the way back to the top. --Joy (talk) 12:33, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

    @Blindlynx this isn't a correct representation of the references to "Sugar Man", because these terms aren't even mentioned in some of the linked articles, so they're actually violations of WP:DABMENTION. --Joy (talk) 17:10, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
    Fixed a couple of the most egregious offenders in this regard. Either way, the total traffic for the Roy Orbison discography doesn't factor as a whole in the debate about what do people mean by "Sugar Man" because the latter song is just one small part of that. --Joy (talk) 17:18, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
