*Spoilers!* Raw 8/2/10

Due to next week's (August 2) episode of Raw being taped yesterday (July 26) a couple sites have the spoilers for that week and two that have to do with a SummerSlam match...to read those spoilers...look below...

  • START SPOILERS*

Backstage, Edge asks John Cena where he was when Nexus interfered. Edge quits Team Cena. Chris Jericho tells Cena he should quit as well. Jericho proposes a match - Jericho vs. Cena and the loser quits Team Cena.

Chris Jericho vs. John Cena in a loser must quit Team Cena at SummerSlam. Cena beat Jericho when he reversed the Walls of Jericho into the STF, making Jericho tap immediately. After the match, Cena told Jericho he doesn't want him off the SummerSlam because he is the best in the world at what he does; and said if he leaves he's letting everyone else down, even himself. Jericho gets out of the ring and heads to the back up the ramp.

Sources: [1] [2] NOTE: NOT THE EXACT WORDS FROM THE WEBSITES. I CHANGED SOME TO PREVENT ALL THAT COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT OR WHATEVER IT IS. PLUS, IT SAYS NOT TO COPY AND PASTE SO THAT'S ANOTHER REASON.

So, can someone edit Edge and Jericho out of the now 7-on-5 handicap match? I would do it myself, but the article is protected.

  • END SPOILERS*

Just to throw in my two cents, I'm not sure if this is ok. PWMania is NOT considered a reliable source on WikiProject Professional Wrestling Style guide. I saw no mention of NODQ here, so I have to ask: what is precedent regarding citation of 'dirt-sheets?' I'd assume we don't allow it; seems like there would be too many issues, ie WP:CRYSTAL and WP:V.

Thanks, cheers, etc. Yesitsraining (talk) 03:52, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Not to brag, or gloat, but I did tell you Jericho and Edge leave the team, and it happened just now on Raw if you were watching. I mean I did tell you it was going to happen, and I was right...173.216.13.59 (talk) 02:21, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Wikipedia is not about truth is about verifiability. And therefore all controversial additions (AKA revisions which were reverted) need reliable sources. Armbrust Talk Contribs 02:48, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Here's a reliable source...[3] 173.216.13.59 (talk) 14:19, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, but this was updated after 2 August edition of RAW and it doesn't stated the spoiler information on 27 July. Armbrust Talk Contribs 16:44, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
But the unreliable source (PWMania) stated it as did another unreliable source (NoDQ)and those were up on July 27 173.216.13.59 (talk) 00:18, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Do you realize what you're saying? Two UNRELIABLE sources said something. I am not trying to be rude, but I again recommend that you read verifiability. If they are unreliable, they should not have a single mention on this encyclopedia, no matter how right they are. I'm right there with you, Armbrust. "Yes...It's Raining" 19:41, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
But it IS verifiable because I gave you a reliable source that said it as well! Just go to http://ss10.wwe.com[4]. That verifies it right there! As WWE MADE this website! 173.216.13.59 (talk) 19:51, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
As of August 3rd you provided a verifiable link, 6 days later than your original post. As you have provided a verifiable link, sure, by all means, then it should have be included. But, WWE being what it is, and their storylines changing every time you blink, it is already irrelevant, as it looks as though it's a 7 on 7 match again. I think the discussion of verifiable sources is over. Your first two were not acceptable, the WWE link you included is fine, and now that link says it's a 7 vs 7 match again (depending on Khali's status). So, back to square one! "Yes...It's Raining" 22:18, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I'm aware it's back to 7 on 7 so nevermind about the whole 7 on 5 thing haha 173.216.13.59 (talk) 16:47, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Clarification of Wording

I missed the last "Raw," so can somebody clarify what is meant by this sentence?

"Kane revealed that he had doped out Mysterio as the attacker of The Undertaker."

Huh? Doped out? If I don't understand this, someone (unlike me) with little knowledge of professional wrestling won't understand it either. Thanks, Cheers, etc. Yesitsraining (talk) 03:38, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

Since I haven't heard anything back, I figured (since policy is such as it is, I would revert. This is what I wrote, instead: "On the July 30 episode of SmackDown, Kane revealed that The Undertaker had disclosed that his attacker was Rey Mysterio. For this, Kane threatened to make Mysterio "cease to exist." [5] " If anyone has any issues with this, please go ahead & revert, but this at least seems like an improvement to me.
Thanks, Cheers, etc. Yesitsraining (talk) 11:22, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

WWE Source: Daniel Bryan as 7th Man?

Found this over at the Bleacher Report: http://www.wwe.com/shows/summerslam/exclusives/15381204

May be useful, wish I could remember my Wiki-login or I'd get on to add it. 75.223.234.85 (talk) 02:06, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

You guys should know for future reference that bleacher report is on WP:PW list of non-reliable sites. I know this is over 2 weeks late but if you had put that in and said that bleacher report was your source then we would've said no that won't work.--Nascar king 21:28, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

Abusive reverts from Nascarking

Nascarking (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is attempting to start an edit war here, including labeling a constructive edit as "vandalism". I am giving him a chance to defend his abuse here before I report him. The Cleanup Kid (talk) 22:17, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
