Why? That is, why are these sunken? This article would benefit greatly from some cites that get into the whys and wherefores. Also, pictures would be good too if any are to be had. Are these a hazard to navigation? ++Lar: t/c 22:37, 14 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Should I put a map of Massachusetts at the peak of the Ice Age here, or is it not worth it because it doesn't show NH? Also, are images in newspapers promotional and free to use anywhere? And also, should i make a Sunken Forests of Massachusetts article? Icelandic Hurricane #12 14:01, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am not a lawyer, but I beleive that newspaper images can't be used under Fair Use for things like this, because they are not illustrating celebrities or products or corporate logos or any of the other fair use categories. Have you tried searching for images harder, like via Google? There may be some images of these at NOAA or the USCGS or similar govnerment agencies (if these are hazards to navigation, etc) Maps would also help... maybe use the TIGER server to generate a map of the coastal area of NH and annotate it with the location of these forests. Hope that helps and happy editing. I want to select this article for DYK but it's not quite "hooky" enough yet (although other admins may select it, who knows)... the topic has a LOT of potential though! ++Lar: t/c 14:58, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removed 'cedar' as it is incorrect (don't believe everything in the newspapers!) - can someone try to get the original scientific papers which identify the species (likely several different species) involved? - MPF 10:41, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
