Clarification Needed[edit]

1. A little confused, under 'boundaries' there is no mention of the clavicle, however, under 'relations' it comments that 'The clavicle articulates with the manubrium to form the anterior border of the thoracic inlet'. So is the thoracic outlet considered to be bound by the clavicle anteriorly or not?

2. Perhaps deciding to stick to one terminology through the article (article is called superior thoracic outlet, why refer to it as thoracic inlet midway?)

3. Wheeless describes the boundaries of the thoracic outlet as being different (http://www.wheelessonline.com/ortho/thoracic_outlet_syndrome), is that a result of the clinical entity 'thoracic outlet syndrome' or am I missing something?, if it is, perhaps this should be clarified in the text? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.169.158.91 (talk) 15:32, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the move if it's the common name and the TA term, but let me ask something: TA's synonym for the inferior thoracic aperture is thoracic outlet, but this last term redirects to superior thoracic aperture because the article suggests it's the clinical name.
