When we see Professor Austin in Maldives, there is a mountain in the background. Maldives is completely flat barely 2 meters above sea level. Pyromaniac589 20:14, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Filming in Australia

[edit]

Was any filming done in Australia at all? As apart from file footage of the Harbour Bridge, it's all Cape Town. Katana Geldar 11:19, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Another problem is that all the women with a dark skintone in the movie, who are, it would have to be assumed, would be Aboriginal Australians share all the physiological characteristics of African women. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.208.141.15 (talk) 11:47, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Judging from what I've seen, it appears this movie was set originally in South Africa and the change was made in the editing room. Remember the scene in the computer room when they upload the video? All the networks branch of South Africa. Making it all in South Africa and it would make more sense, well not a lot but more than it does at the moment. I live in Australia and I puzzled over the locale a bit. I think it was set in the US, Australia and South Africa. Maybe something to do with the location of the Phoenix underground sites. I am pretty sure I heard a reference to Pretoria (South Africa) at one stage, some South African accents too. One of the scientists had a fairly accurate, if a bit extreme, Australian accent. The black women were clearly Africans not Australian Aborigines.

Inaccuracies Section

[edit]

Is it really necessary to have such a lengthy section of a television movies' inaccuracies? It's very thorough and well-written, but I haven't seen such a lengthy section like this in any other science fiction film, especially one made for television. Isn't it almost expected that these low-budget TV movies are bound to have plot holes, inconsistencies, and a bunch of other mistakes? Cactusjump (talk) 23:09, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
