External links modified

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Super-spreader. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

2019-nCoV

2019-nCoV should be added to this page, as there is now evidence of 2019-nCoV producing super-spreaders. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MrTempestilence (talkcontribs) 23:05, 30 January 2020 (UTC)

Reply: Added yes, but maybe not on the third paragraph of the introduction... 84.108.216.225 (talk) 23:36, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Can someone add a new page for the Trump Judge Barrett superspreading event?

Can someone add a new page for the Trump Judge Barrett superspreading event? This will become one of the most cited events through time. And we don’t know all information yet, but will become key historical event. Perhaps Barrett was one of the key vectors? At an indoor gathering. Contact tracing might be fascinating. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.97.108.45 (talk) 22:46, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

Dr Fauci of CDC confirmed it was a superspreading event. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.97.108.45 (talk) 20:32, 9 October 2020 (UTC)

Requested move 1 October 2020

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. The result of the move request was: Moved to "Superspreading event" per WP:PLURAL. As pointed out in the discussion, we weight medical sources as higher value for medical topics, rather than popular usage. (non-admin closure) (t · c) buidhe 03:39, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

SuperspreaderSuperspreading events – This is the predominant name that has become common both in medical and public discourse. Destigmatising the person, focusing on the event Investigatory (talk) 11:04, 1 October 2020 (UTC) Relisting. SITH (talk) 20:50, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

  • Oppose Technical note that the proposed title fails WP:PLURAL; it would be superspreading event. However, the current title is more WP:CONCISE, and due to WP:NOTCENSORED, the particular stigma an article title or content puts on any one person is not relevant as long as reliable sources back it up. There is no proof presented that "superspreading event" is more common than "superspreader" in the media.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 14:58, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
  • Oppose per Zxcvbnm and WP:COMMONNAME. — Tartan357  (Talk) 12:02, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
  • Support as nom per WP:MEDTITLE The article title should be the scientific or recognised medical name that is most commonly used in recent, high-quality, English-language medical sources, rather than a lay term (unscientific or slang name)[1] or a historical eponym that has been superseded. Most recent high quality english language medical sources use the proposed name here here here here here and its probably because the events happen due to environment rather than host factors in general --Investigatory (talk) 21:11, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
  • Move to Superspreading event per WP:MEDTITLE and WP:PLURAL. A quick perusal through PubMed shows that "superspreading event" is the common name.  Bait30  Talk 2 me pls? 05:58, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
  • Support since "superspreading" is more general than "superspreader". A superspreading event can involve a superspreader, conditions greatly amplifying disease spread, or both. Fa suisse (talk) 02:13, 21 October 2020 (UTC)
