It's a start
[edit]Hey, new user, hoping to get involved in the Australian Law project - my first edits and changes. Added in some more information but obviously needs a clean up and plenty more added. Any help grateful received. Added composition of the Court - need to add more details about what it does, where it is, etc. - MojoTas 06:24, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
List of current judges
[edit]One source of frustration for me has been that we have two lists of judges for each supreme court, a list of current judges on the court page and a complete "List of Judges of the Supreme Court of X". When there is a change, it requires maintaining both lists with the possibility of differences between them. I have been looking to see if there is a way to maintain one list for both & so have been looking at transclusion. The Composition of the Court now includes the code {{:List of Judges of the Supreme Court of Tasmania}}
The list then utilises the tags <noinclude></noinclude>
to exclude non-current judges & the redundant column "Appointment ended". It's a bit more complex than that, but I will provide detailed instructions if consensus is to implement this across each of the supreme court, federal court etc pages. I will post a comment on the other court's talk pages, but inviting people to comment here. At this stage I am looking for feedback, whether positive or negative, comments and questions.
