Problem with redirect

[edit]

I don't think that Soviet Class A2 should be redirected to this league. Pervaya Liga was the second highest league in the Soviet Union and there was another even lower league which was then the Soviet Class B. Vysshaya Liga or Russian Major League has been created in 1992 and then it became the second highest league in the Russian hockey, not in the Soviet Era. --Vnnen (talk) 16:33, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I dunno. It's still the legal successor to Class A2 was this, as it was run by the FHR from the soviet union until present...--Львівске (talk) 18:24, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Russian Major LeagueSupreme Hockey League — Sorry for bringing this issue up once again but I think there's a solution that will please all parties: Since there's this conflict with the Major League Hockey, how about moving this page to Supreme Hockey League? According to this it's an alternative English name of the league.IJK_Principle (talk) 21:23, 1 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Higher Hockey LeagueSupreme Hockey League – The English version of the official website (www.vhlru.ru/en/) uses the name Supreme Hockey League and the abbreviation SHL. The name Higher Hockey League was only used in an article on the FHR website and the article no longer exists. IJK_Principle (talk) 01:20, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
