Meaning and etymology?[edit]

The article had a couple of different analyses of the meaning of Suresh. Because neither of the explanations was sourced, I removed them and will add them here instead.

  1. Its etymology is a contraction of sur + esh: sur means god, ish means king. So Suresh means king of the gods. Suresh also means the planet Sun.
  1. Suresh means the Isha of Suras. Isha means God and Sura is the antonym of Asura and means Deva. So Suresh is the God of Devas. Both Vishnu and Shiva are described as Suresha.

This needs clarification, and it definitely requires a source. --bonadea contributions talk 13:05, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
