Copypaste

[edit]

I have tagged this page with the copypaste tag since I can confirm that multiple sections have been plaigarized from at least these two pages, and likely other places as well (I only checked these two sections).

Surgical treatment of ingrown toenails#Recurrence is wholly plagiarized from https://www.omicsonline.org/united-states/ingrown-toenails-peer-reviewed-pdf-ppt-articles/

Surgical treatment of ingrown toenails#Resection is wholly plagiarized from https://www7.dict.cc/wp_examples.php?lp_id=1&lang=en&s=to%20cut%20a%20nail%20to%20the%20quick

It looks like the place I found the same text as Surgical treatment of ingrown toenails#Resection may have copied it from Wikipedia not the other way around. Though Surgical treatment of ingrown toenails#Recurrence I still believe was it is plagiarized from a difference source. It was the section that said "Note: if undertaking this surgery it is advisable to leave at least four days before walking any further than very short distances as even with painkillers this can be exceedingly painful." which stood out to me and led me to see if it was copied somewhere. Given the tone it seems like it was taken from a medical health website.

User:Sentient being OMICS copies and pastes content from us. You would need to isolate the version here that you think is copied and from what source. The second ref even says it is from us. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 08:44, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
