Merge with Urumi[edit]

Surul Pattai and Urumi seems to be two names for the same weapon in Tamil and Malayalam.So I think its unnecessary to keep two articles for the same weapon. Please consider merging the two articles. Thanks. arun talk 15:32, 24 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing as nobody has argued otherwise, I will soon be merging both the surul pattai and ethunu kaduwa articles into the urumi article. All three are simply names for the same thing. While the Sri Lankan version does vary slightly from its Indian counterpart, this difference can be mentioned in a single article without having to create a separate page. And urumi is without a doubt the most well-known name for the weapon in English. Morinae (talk) 17:57, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
