Kia ora Gadfium. All Survivor editions in the United States, as well as the recent Australian Survivor (2016) and many other international versions of the format do not include local sources from the NZ Herald as 'verified sources' to tell what days people were voted out, and who was voted out when. It makes the graphs look different to the other versions and more clogged. I suggest you peruse these Wikipedia pages, and if you feel desperate to change this for the Survivor NZ page, perhaps one clear link to the official TVNZ site, which includes recaps and links to the full episodes, will suffice? Rather than a local newspaper review? Kiwi_Jaden 10:26, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have copied the above from my talk page.
I have observed on other reality TV program articles that we can have editors changing the order in which people were voted out years later, and without written sources it can be very time-consuming to verify the order. Wikipedia has as one of its policies Verifiability, and while I am not insisting that every detail of such a program be referenced, I do object to references being removed on the grounds that they make an article look different to others or clogged. Adding a single reference to a site that is likely to be long-lived and which has sufficient detail would be sufficient, but the TVNZ site does not have this detail in its recaps. I am not sure if there is any guarantee that the TVNZ on demand service will allow the episodes to be viewed in several years time, and it is inconvenient to have to view an hour or more of TV to verify a simple fact. Also, I believe people outside NZ cannot view these.
I notice that you updated the voting history for the second episode. Where did you get the information about these votes? The program was careful not to show in several cases who voted or who they voted for. It may be that careful deduction can work out what the votes were, and for the first episode this seems trivial, but we should not perform this ourselves, per our policy on original research.
I will ask at WT:WikiProject Television for further comment.-gadfium 04:13, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
These are living people we're talking about. We should not be saying anything about them without sources. If other articles don't have sources, the other articles need to be fixed. Stuartyeates (talk) 09:36, 10 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Season summary needs looking at and condensing, overall it looked better bunched weekly, rather than nightly. Voting history also needs updating with the change of tribes after the swap and Georgia's vote-off - see other U.S. seasons with tribe swap voting histories to format this. Reference needs to be included for Georgia vote-off and Lou evacuation. However, I think it better to utilise the official TVNZ site as one reference at the top of the contestants chart perhaps in the actual 'contestant' column, rather than Herald reviews and in each contestants name column. Looks more invasive. Here is the proposed link: https://www.tvnz.co.nz/shows/survivor-new-zealand/features/story-so-far - what do you think? Finally, should we include regions, seeing as some do and some don't or can we do with just cities? What is the protocol for this - happy either way, but may make things look more better? @Kiwi Jaden: Hey — before I even saw this I ended up taking your advice (re:weekly summary rows; updating voting history; and adding (some of the) references. I thought the placement of the references was weird (e.g. based on where they used to be placed, it looked like they had to do with the castaways' names and episode airdates) so I put them in their own column. re:the regions, the regions aren't listed on the TVNZ website, so I'd say no. I'm not a New Zealander, so I can't weigh in on whether or not there's some sort of necessity to them like in the US, where there are multiple cities with the same name in different states. Another thing I want to bring to your attention is Dee's real name — according to the official website, Dee's real name is Deanna Cambioso, but every other article lists her name as Diane Harper. What to do? – Katanin (talk) 20:57, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Katanin: The weekly summary row looks far better, reference/source list much better placed and less invasive. TVNZ also has her name as that as you say - best to change and no need to add source? Where did Diane Harper come from anyhow? I think we should trial without region and just city - but think Gadfium should weigh in before we do it. Also - Shannon has not been eliminated. She returns to Hermosa taking over from Georgia after being exiled to redemption for 24-hours. It's all on the TVNZ site and on the episode. Similar to Debbie from Game Changers, Julia from Kaoh Rong - happens a lot. Cheers! Kiwi_Jaden 15:12, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I am happy for the reviews of each episode to go in the weekly summary row.-gadfium 04:14, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
