Nice work[edit]

Good to see that SDG16 got its own Wikipedia article. As of today, I think the only two SDGs that have stand-alone articles are SDG6 and SDG16. FYI, @User:Ad Huikeshoven EMsmile (talk) 01:36, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

To do list[edit]

These are improvements that could be made if anyone has time:

  • The information that is given on UNESCO's work for SDG 16 seems excessively long; consider culling/compressing. (partly done, maybe cull further)
  • Add some more images (Wikimedia Commons)
  • Add more maps and graphs from SDG results tracker (take from Wikimedia Commons)
  • Expand on background section.
  • Improve lead to make it a better summary of the article.
  • Improve readability, make sentences easier to understand for laypersons.
  • Find any other good progress reports for SDG 16.
  • Provide more detail and references to the section on "linkages with other SDGs"
  • Find more progress information for some of the indicators which so far don't have progress information provided. Scour all the links on the HLPF website.
  • Add more wikilinks to other articles in Wikipedia and vice versa (link back to SDG 16 from those other articles).
  • Find Wikipedia articles that explain some of the key concepts that are used in the SDG 16 article. We should not have to created new articles - often times they exist but just under different names.
  • Improve some of the references (e.g. for some of them only a link to a pdf file is given but the reference should include author, year, publisher). EMsmile (talk) 04:05, 8 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the To-Do list EMsmile I'll be happy to begin converting the targets into the level two subheadings as suggested.--Ms Kabintie (talk) 12:50, 8 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for offering, Ms Kabintie. I ended up doing it quickly tonight because it's a bit tedious but I have a good system for it now. Instead, could you work on wikilinks and also progress information for the different indicators? EMsmile (talk) 15:02, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki Education assignment: WRIT101-03[edit]

This article was the subject of a Wiki Education Foundation-supported course assignment, between 28 March 2022 and 13 May 2022. Further details are available on the course page. Student editor(s): SeaMonkeysOnTrees, Jordangbravo, Anakazaki (article contribs). In the future it would be good to add statistics for 16.10.1 regarding kidnappings of journalist.Jordangbravo (talk) 21:54, 8 May 2022 (UTC) Updating this article yearly with the Corruption Perceptions Index would help keep this Wikipedia page up to dateJordangbravo (talk) 21:57, 8 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Provide more information on progress of indicators[edit]

There should be more information on the progress of each indicator. Indicators 4, 6, 7, 8, and 16b in particular need data. I have added some information, albeit outdated, to indicator 16.3, but I'd also appreciate any edits and/or additions!--Anakazaki (talk) 02:53, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Make additions to Challenges section[edit]

Provide more concrete data on the challenges that the pandemic has posed for achieving SDG16. Another challenge I think would be great to add is the lack of information on the indicators to even assess and measure progress. Without data, relevant actors cannot determine the necessary actions to take for SDG16.--Anakazaki (talk) 03:09, 9 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
