Alliance with the Portuguese?
[edit]"Kanhoji relentlessly carried on his fight against the British and in 1721 joined hands with the Portuguese". The Portuguese and the English have one of the oldest alliances(dating to the 1500) and have never attacked each other's territories. In fact the English admnistered Goa for a period of 6 years when they were harrased by the Dutch and then returned it. This statement seems highly incorrect. Portuguese privateers maybe, but it is highly unlikely that millitary officers would have dared act against their allies and incur the king's wrath. --203.189.177.135 (talk) 03:54, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
The article states that most of the well dry up with only one step well being reliable. The next section say that 8 of the wells or pools are abundant. Hardly abundant if they dry up, so which is it?
