SverdlovSverdlov (disambiguation) – In the same manner that Lenin redirects to Vladimir Lenin, Stalin to Joseph Stalin, Malenkov to Georgy Malenkov, Khrushchev to Nikita Khrushchev, Brezhnev to Leonid Brezhnev, Andropov to Yuri Andropov, Gorbachev to Mikhail Gorbachev, Yeltsin to Boris Yeltsin, Putin to Vladimir Putin, Bukharin to Nikolai Bukharin, Kamenev to Lev Kamenev, Beria to Lavrentiy Beria, Voroshilov to Kliment Voroshilov, Bulganin to Nikolai Bulganin, Shepilov to Dmitri Shepilov or Vyshinsky to Andrey Vyshinsky, so should Sverdlov redirect to Yakov Sverdlov. Everything on the disambiguation page refers to him along with many other mentions, such as the key city formerly known as Sverdlovsk, along with everything under Sverdlovsk (disambiguation)Sverdlovsky (disambiguation), Imeni Sverdlova, Sverdlovskoye Urban Settlement, Sverdlovo, etc — there have been also streets, factories and institutions named after him — after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, most have been restored to their original names. Two years ago, a mass nomination which included Sverdlov was unsuccessful at Talk:Kalinin#Requested move 15 April 2017. — Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 22:44, 1 May 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. SITH (talk) 10:50, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It should be noted that he is Wikipedia's sole "Sverdlov" (all other uses are named after him) and, as far as "same league" is concerned, in the first year after the Russian Revolution, he was considered to be next in line after Lenin and, possibly, Trotsky. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 15:43, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, per nom. Not in the same league? Huh??? --В²C 22:26, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Leaning support, given the propensity for other things with the name to be relatively obscure topics, and named after this subject. bd2412 T 00:35, 18 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
