I've assigned High importance and the basis that it is one of the largest Welsh colleges but it's not Top priority as it's not internationally famous. Ewen 14:40, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Changed to mid. It's not a very important article and most of the content is non-encyclopaedic. Welshleprechaun (talk) 22:53, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:SwanseaCollegeLogo2.png

[edit]

Image:SwanseaCollegeLogo2.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

September 2008

[edit]

This article looks as though it's been copied and pasted direct from the college's website. It is not a place to advertise the college and the article must be written in a neutral tone. Also unsourced material has been challenged and will be removed if no sources can be found. Welshleprechaun (talk) 22:52, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Parts of the article have been taken from the college's website by the same people who wrote the college's website, as it happens. Ewen (talk) 09:25, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well articled need to be wikified otherwise it would read like an advert for the college. As for the parts I tagged 3 months ago as uncited, I will delete these sections by the end of the year if sources aren't provided. Welshleprechaun (talk) 19:48, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Swansea College 1967-2010 vs Swansea College 2021-?

[edit]

@Snowyali: Hi. I understand that name of "Swansea College" has been revived as the new name of Swansea Sixth Form Centre. I would say that a totally new page is required for the old Swansea College instead of partially deleting the old material and adding some descriptions of the new college.

Incidentally, from your edit summary ("My college was called Swansea Sixth Form College. We have changed our name to Swansea cCollege we just want to update the info. This is our website https://www.swanseacollege.com/" - my emphasis) it would seem that you are involved in the new college. you need to be careful about conflict of interest. See WP:COI
