Supernatural - Authorship[edit]

According to the article for 'Lakini's Juice', Live wrote 'Supernatural' (the song appears on the Lakini's Juice single). The article also claims that 'Supernatural' was first released on the Lakini's Juice single (1997); 'Sweet Relief II' was released in 1996, suggesting otherwise. As unlikely as it is, it's possible that the version of 'Supernatural' on the Lakini's Juice single is an entirely different version of the song to the one found on 'Sweet Relief II'. As such, I've not changed the 'Lakini's Juice' article. And due to the doubt, and the fact that the booklet for the 'Sweet Relief II' compilation credits Vic Chestnutt with writing 'Supernatural', I've not changed this article either. The question comes down to whether the 'Lakini's Juice' single credits Live or Vic Chestnutt with writing 'Supernatural'; I don't have access to it and cannot confirm it. Is anyone able to follow this up and make the appropriate changes? 2A02:1811:B605:4E00:849F:1059:67D6:E713 (talk) 17:46, 16 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I just reviewed the article on Lakini's Juice, and it doesn't explicitly claim that Live wrote "Supernatural" — it just provides a generic "All songs written by Live" note that merely left out the exception. And as for it being previously unreleased, it does appear to be a different recording of the song from a different live performance than the one on Sweet Relief (which is listed in the Sweet Relief liner notes as February 15, 1995, rather than the November 19, 1994 given for the Lakini's Juice version.)
