A fact from Sylvia Cecil appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 7 April 2009 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Others present included Ivan Menzies and other pre-war DC luminaries. Should this be added? I can dig out the relevant issue of The Savoyard, I should think. It is, alas, "original research" to add that Cecil - as the doyenne of the old boys and girls - curtseyed after her speech with ramrod straight back and immense elegance. But she did. Someone added this: In 1934 she sang the original german song "In deine Hände leg ich mein ganzes Glück" with original words & musik by Willi Kollo and with English lyric by Jimmy Kennedy "My heart was sleeping until you came to me".
