1966 premiere?[edit]

The NJSO website, and http://www.amrhome.net/contents/sescmp.txt , claim that the NJSO gave the premiere of the 6th symphony in November 1966. This is ... just ... compatible with the work having been "premiered" only in part at the time, especially in light of the claim in the later issue of Tempo that the work was only receiving its first complete performance eleven years later. Though anyone who has better information is invited very much to share it! Am inclined to go with the Tempo snippet myself... The NJSO website may, too, be the source of the November 1966 claim in the MusicWeb article. Schissel | Sound the Note! 06:54, 24 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
