No T3 tankers likely ever held the AOG hull symbol[edit]
From the article: The hull designation AOG is used by the US Navy to denote that the ship is a T3 gasoline tanker.
In fact it is probable that no T3 tanker was ever a gasoline tanker (AOG). Of the 82 ships to hold this hull symbol, 5 were commercial ships not built to MARCOM standard designs, 76 were T1 tankers, and 1 was a T2 tanker. See Ships of the U.S. Navy, 1940-1945

No T3 tankers ever held the AOR hull symbol[edit]
With the exception of the USS Conecuh, which was originally the German Dithmarschen, all AOR ships belonged to the specially designed Wichita-class. The AO and AOR symbols were not interchangeable.
