Fair use rationale for Image:Arkefly logo.png

[edit]

Image:Arkefly logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 19:31, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

User:Koentje787 has placed merger tags on Arkefly and Arkefly Curaçao. I support such a merge, as they appear to be the same company or two related companies. Cnilep (talk) 21:36, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello everyone, I can confirm you it's really the same airline, I'm Dutch and I've flown a few times with them, and I can tell you there's no airline with the name Arkefly Curaçao in Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles. Arkefly (based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands) doesn't have a subsidiary too. If you look at the History and Incidents and Accidents subsections on both pages, you will conclude there's the same information.
Apart from that, Arkefly does fly to Hato International Airport 5 times a week, so Arkefly is not a foreign airline there.
Thank you for your attention, --Koentje787 (talk) 18:56, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Destinations

[edit]

The page Arkefly Destinations was created 19 October 2007 and listed the airports into which Arkefly flew. It was merged to Arkefly on 29 October 2007. The page Arkefly destinations was created 19 July 2008 and listed only the airports in Africa to which Arkefly flew. It was eventually expanded to include all destinations. I merged that page to this one on 16 April 2010. On 24 April 2010 a user cut the 'Destinations' section from this page and pasted it into a new page at Arkefly destino. I have restored the information cut from this page and indicated at Talk:Arkefly destino that information was copied from this page. This is necessary to provide attribution history, as required by Wikipedia's licensing agreement.

I have placed a dated {{prod}} tag on Arkefly destino since I do not believe it is necessary to duplicate the list of destinations. Arkefly is currently 9,512 bytes, well within the norms for article size. I also find the current page acceptably readable. Do other editors believe that the purpose of this article would be better served by splitting it into a main descriptive page and a list of destinations? If so, we should discuss splitting the article here. Cnilep (talk) 15:20, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
