false and misleading?

[edit]

Someone removed a section of the article, suggesting it made "false and misleading information" about them. It's unclear what would be defamatory about anyone, since all the sources were clearly sourced. Anyone have thoughts on this? TheMightyQuill (talk) 20:18, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

That said, I'm not sure that particular section was really notable, or worth including. A little spat of name-calling between a journalists and an academic over a hot political issue isn't particularly relevant. - TheMightyQuill (talk) 20:18, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

City name

[edit]

Why does the article say he was "born in Tiohtiá:ke (Montréal)"? That would be fine in another context -- it makes a nice point about the politics of naming -- but it is out of place in an encyclopedic source. It should say simply "born in Montréal." I don't want to change it without consultation; I'd be interested to see if (and why) others disagree. Languagehat (talk) 18:45, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Personally, I think it's fine the way it is. It's respectful and there's no confusion. But if you're really looking to improve the article, there are certainly many other ways it could be expanded. - TheMightyQuill (talk) 20:10, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
