..In relation to Ninjutsu, the Bujinkan states that Taijutsu is one of the eighteen fighting skills that were a part of a total training system described in the scrolls of Togakure-ryū..

Not 'were'. They are still taught from the scrolls of Togakure-ryū. I am currently studying Bujinkan Ninjutsu.

-jutsu in this context means way or path. The way contains 'many' techniques using varying methods of defense against armed and unarmed attacks. Jutsu cannot mean 'technique'.

To the contrary, -jutsu 術 here plainly means "technique," as is readily apparent to anyone who can read Japanese kanji (as I can). The kanji for "way" 道 comes out as -do in romanization of Japanese. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 03:59, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Can we make the distinctions between the different subarts of Taijutsu? Includes things such as Dakentaijutsu(striking and kicking), Jutaijutsu(Jujutsu), etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.229.140.131 (talk) 01:47, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
