Move to Taipan!

[edit]

As listed at WP:Requested moves, the game's title includes the exclamation mark; thus, the new name is more correct. A redirect to the current article already exists at Taipan!; it can simply be replaced with the existing article. PaladinWhite 16:40, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been renamed from Taipan (computer game) to Taipan! as the result of a move request. --Stemonitis 19:08, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is frustrating. Social media sites like Facebook don't process the exclamation as part of their link creation, which sends the user to a different wiki page. -Phil — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.67.168.98 (talk) 02:54, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:TaipanGameTrading.png Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]

An image used in this article, File:TaipanGameTrading.png, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 20 June 2012

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:TaipanGameTrading.png)

Source code?

[edit]

Does anyone know if the source code is obtainable somewhere? I'd like to compile a version for UNIX but all I found is this BASIC code: http://www.taipangame.com/BASIC.txt -- Mfnalex (talk) 08:21, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

TRS-80/Apple ][ difference

[edit]

I had the game on both platforms, the Apple version didn't have the ability to pay back more than you owed to the money lender and kick it into negative interest (at least the one I had didn't). --104.171.208.2 (talk) 17:03, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
